Here you will find parks, a marina, beaches, a charming promenade, shopping streets, shopping malls, a night market, a fun fair, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafes and much more. Torrevieja also offers a variety of activities, and on the outskirts of the city you will find a bowling alley and a large water park, in addition to a large sports complex.

Beaches
The magnificent beaches of the Costa Blanca are jewels bathed by the Mediterranean. In the center of Torrevieja there are smaller beaches, while Los Naufragos beach, Playa del Cura and Los Locos beach are located on the outskirts of the city. Within walking distance you will also find La Mata beach, as well as the famous 9 kilometer long beach in Guardamar and the popular beaches of Orihuela Costa.

Climate
Torrevieja is an ideal place for both holidays and permanent housing. Summers are always sunny and warm, while winters are mild, and the area has an average temperature of 20 degrees. Torrevieja is located near two large salt flats that have a cleaning effect in the air and help give the area a particularly favorable health environment. Climate has a particularly positive effect on people with i.a. Asthma, allergies, rheumatism and skin diseases. According to medical science, the area belongs to one of the healthiest places in the world thanks to its salt flats.

Shopping
In Torrevieja you will find a shopping street with a variety of shops, while the Habaneras and Carrefour shopping centers are located on the outskirts of the city. About 10 kilometers away is the large Zenia Boulevard shopping center, where you will find a wide variety of stores such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, H&M, Stradivarius, Oysho, Mango, Primark, Pull & Bear, Decathlon, Guess, Kiko, Druni, Rituals, Leroy Merlin and many more.

Golf
There are a number of golf courses nearby and within a radius of 15 kilometers you will find the La Marquesa Golf and Country Club, the Las Colinas Golf and Country Club, the La Finca Golf, the Las Ramblas Golf Villamartin Golf, the Lo Romero Golf, Vistabella Golf, Real Clud de Campoamor Golf and Greenlands Golf.

Watersports
Within a radius of 20 kilometers there are several yacht clubs and marinas. In Torrevieja you will find three, while there is one in Guardamar del Segura and two in Santa Pola. Here you will find sailing, windsurfing and diving schools, among others. SUP (stand up paddle-boarding) boards can be rented at various locations in the area, and several beaches offer water activities such as flyboards, banana boats, jet skis and more.

Hospitals and healthcare
In Torrevieja there is a modern public hospital with an excellent reputation. The Quiron Hospital is a private hospital, and this is also located in Torrevieja. Laguna Mar Menor, located about a 30-minute drive from Torrevieja, is one of the largest saltwater lagoons in Europe, with a maximum depth of approximately 7 meters. The high salinity of the water provides a microclimate that is very healthy, especially for people with heart problems, arthritis, or lung diseases. The salty mud bath is also famous for its relief from skin conditions like psoriasis, and is recommended by various specialists.

Getting there
Torrevieja is about a 40-minute drive from Alicante airport (there is a regular bus from this airport to Torrevieja), and a 50-minute drive from Murcia airport. From Torrevieja you can easily reach the main cities in the area through the A-7 motorway or the N-332 coastal road, such as Elche, Alicante, Valencia, Murcia and Cartagena, to name a few.
